ROYAL CANIN® Diabetic is a balanced and nutrient-rich recipe specially developed to help regulate blood glucose levels in adult cats with diabetes mellitus.

Glucomodulation

Glucomodulation means that food can have a direct effect on a cat's blood glucose levels. A suitable diet with a high protein content, low starch content and an adapted fibre content can help keep the increase in blood glucose levels after eating as low as possible.

High protein content

Healthy muscle mass is particularly important for cats with diabetes. With its high protein content, this recipe helps build and maintain healthy muscle mass.

Low starch content

Starchy food increases the postprandial blood glucose response. This recipe with a reduced starch content helps control elevated postprandial blood glucose levels in cats with diabetes.

Wet food has a more intense aroma, and its moisture content helps regulate the animal's fluid balance. Dry food, on the other hand, is easier to pick up and is beneficial for the teeth.
