Particular care should be taken when positioning the nesting box: mounted at a height of approximately 2 metres and positioned with the entry hole facing southeast, the nesting box ensures it is reached and warmed by the first rays of the rising sun each morning.

Tip: Before opening the flap for observing, you must learn to be patient. While the birds are diligently working on their nest, wait until they begin bringing in food. This stage marks the ideal time to open the flap and take a peek at the growing brood. Please do not disturb the birds excessively to avoid affecting their natural behaviours and the rearing of the young.

In September, once the breeding season is over, you can begin cleaning the nesting box. Carefully remove old nesting material, feathers and droppings, and clean the interior of the house. Please do not use chemical cleaners to ensure the safety of the birds.
