The formula's adapted energy content allows for smaller portion sizes per meal, which can help compensate for a reduced appetite in some dogs.

This food features a specific aromatic profile to stimulate your dog's appetite – especially when food is being refused. The special shape (round), size, and texture of the kibble provide an additional stimulating effect.

Important note

This product is a veterinary diet from the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Health Nutrition range. Therefore, it is important that the food is only fed upon the recommendation of a veterinarian. This ensures that your pet receives exactly the nutrition they truly need. A transition to a new diet should be done carefully and gradually over a period of 7–10 days. Ensure the correct portion size – especially when mixed feeding.

Mixed feeding possible
To cater to the individual preferences of all dogs, ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special is also available as wet food with fine chunks in gravy or a soft mousse texture, as well as Renal and Renal Select dry food with kibble in various shapes, textures, and aromatic profiles.* Mixed feeding provides the food with different textures, which can stimulate the appetite. Wet food has a more intense aroma and its moisture content helps regulate the pet's water balance. Dry food, on the other hand, is easier to consume and good for the teeth.
